The mission of CDC-SL is to sponsor, organize, and promote high-quality debates among leading candidates for the offices of President and Vice President, as well as debates during party primaries for flag bearer aspirants. Through these debates, we aim to ensure that citizens have direct access to the ideas, vision, and leadership qualities of those seeking to govern Sierra Leone.

Beyond organizing debates, our mission includes conducting voter education, research, and outreach initiatives that strengthen democratic engagement. By prioritizing fairness, neutrality, and inclusivity, CDC-SL seeks to guarantee that debates serve as a tool for citizens’ empowerment rather than political manipulation.
